La Chacra D’Dago - Dagoberto Marin Ludeña owns La Chacra D’Dago estate, which is located in Villa Rica in the Oxapampa Province within the Pasco Region of Peru. The 74 acres estate has been biodynamically cultivated since 2006. The Ludeña family also works with other local farmers to expand the biodynamic method throughout the region. Biodynamic farming began as a reaction to deteriorating soil and poor harvest and livestock conditions in the wake of increased chemical fertilizer applications in the 1920s. Emphasizing organic agricultural practices, in conjunction with synchronizing planting and harvest cycles to terrestrial conditions and celestial (especially lunar) movements, the philosophy attempts to promote ethical treatment of natural resources and harmonious human interaction with the natural world. The actions of humans, animals, and plant life are seen as interactive parts of a living system.

The only downside to this coffee is that it has ruined all other coffee for me.

This is a very enjoyable coffee that I actually was surprised to learn was sourced in Peru. Thank you for making it available. An added reward is that it is Biodynamic and one of the best in that category available. I look forward to the continued use of this coffee as long as it is available and I can afford it.

Truly the GOAT of coffee

Living in the bay area there are not shortage of coffee snobs and the coffee they prefer. To each their own. IMO the biodynamic medium roast from Cafe Altura is THE best tasting coffee. Whether you are drinking it on its own or adding sweetner and milk it surpasses all other coffees. Ive tried various roasts frol Altura and other roasters. Bio Dynamic medium is head and shoulders above any other roast. Def worth a try
